It is absolutely imperative that you check out some of our favorite, more recent collaborations.

Marc by Marc Jacobs x Liberty of London

Liberty’s iconic floral prints have been splashed on everything from Paige jeans to Bensimon sneakers to an entire collection for Target. This summer, the Brit legend is lending two classic (read: one was designed in 1933!) prints to Marc by Marc Jacobs’ bestselling Pretty Nylon accessories. Quality-wise I would definitely recommend this line- I’ve had the laptop case for nearly three years and it still looks like new. And not to sound like your mom, but it’s also super functional, well-made, and easy to clean. Print-wise, these Spring-y florals add a sweet, feminine touch to any outfit. There are five classic styles in the collection- a tote bag, a backpack, a tablet case, and two makeup bags (a mini and a larger version)- so if you’ve got some money burning a hole in your pocket and a lust for itty-bitty flowers you can collect them all! PS- Liberty also collaborated with Levi’s this summer. Check it out!

Sam & Libby for Target

Husband and wife duo Sam and Libby Edelman have been designing shoes together since the 80’s. As if that wasn’t perfect enough, they’ve recently reintroduced their original namesake brand, Sam & Libby, to Target. In the spirit of getting the bad news out of the way first, my only real complaint about the collection is the fact that some of the designs are obvious knockoffs of Sam Edelman (a more high-end line designed by the couple) styles that have been around since last year. But overall, the line is super fun and the prices are perfect if you’re looking for cute summer sandals that can get a little beat up. What stand out are the shoes’ mixed materials (faux snakeskin and neon patent leather, for example) that spiff up basic shapes such as t-strap sandals and cap-toed ballet flats. This is fun footwear that doesn’t take itself too seriously. And rumor has it that this will be an ongoing collaboration- can’t wait to see what the autumn collection has in store!

Peter Som for Anthropologie

This is both my favorite design collab and the one that would wreak the most havoc on my bank account. Peter Som has been designing his namesake line for over a decade, and now he’s lending his signature feminine shapes and whimsical prints to Anthropologie. According to the line’s web page, the collection “pays homage to the witty, wanderlusty, confident woman who wears what she loves without ambivalence, and with a wink”. Couldn’t have said it better myself! My personal favorites are the zebra-print (and by that I mean actual zebra heads, not those gaudy black and white stripes) “Elizabeth” dress, the floor-length “Talitha” skirt, and the classic red “Sophie” dress. These are definitely investment pieces, but they’re undeniably unique, great quality, and wearable year-round. If not a must-buy, definitely a must-lust over!

GIMME’ THE GOODS!

So, I am sure you are all wondering where in the world is this woman, that dress, those shoes, and said arm candy (talking about the purses, here!)

Well, you’re wildest dreams are about to come true.
